Outdoor fabric accessories offer an easy way to spruce up your outdoor living spaces! Use textiles to make your deck or patio feel as comfortable and homey as your indoor space!

Outdoor Fabric Accessories

There are so many ways to use outdoor fabric accessories to extend your living area to decks and patios. Pillows and blankets can make your outdoor living spaces feel cozy and comfortable. Placemats add a unique touch to outdoor entertaining, and garden flags welcome guests with meaningful designs.

Pillows are definitely fun to make and offer an easy way to switch up your decor! Here are a couple of awesome ideas to get your juices flowing! Use pillows on benches, chairs and lounge chairs to add a unique touch.

Chalk Couture designs can be colored which is so much fun and easy to do! You can do this using ink and the watercolor technique, but another fun way to do this is with fabric markers. Learn more about how to watercolor using Chalk Couture paste or ink.

Placemats and garden flags are also great additions to outdoor spaces. These items can add texture and pops of color to outdoor decor. Here’s an example of a patriotic placemat that doubles as a garden flag.

You can easily use these ideas on pillows and placemats you already have and maybe aren’t using! Breathing new life into things you already own is a great way to reduce waste and recycle.

Heat setting Chalk Couture ink makes it permanent and easy to clean. You can spot clean or throw machine washable items right into the washing machine.

Heat setting instructions

Using a heat press:

  • Set heat press to 305 degrees.
  • Place a piece of parchment paper over and under your inked design.
  • Place heat press on parchment paper for 30 seconds. You can move the heat press around if desired.
